Age of candidates at Ukraine’s local elections ranges from 18 to 93

KIEV, October 25. /TASS/. The age of candidates running for seats in local legislatures at Sunday’s elections in Ukraine ranges from 18 to 93, Chairman of Ukraine’s Central Election Commission Mikhail Okhendovsky told journalists.

"The youngest candidate who is taking part in the elections in the Sumy region is 18. The oldest is 93 and is registered in the Zhitomir region," he said.

Ukraine on Sunday is holding elections to local self-governments. A total of 10,778 local legislatures are to be elected.
