MOSCOW, October 23. /TASS/. An armed clash between the units of the Ukrainian army deployed in the area of Shirokino in the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic was reported overnight to Friday, the Donetsk News Agency said citing a law enforcement source in the self-proclaimed republic.
The fighting outside Shirokino continued for several hours, the news agency said, adding that early reports did not specify the casualties.
The source said the conflict had been triggered by a battle of words between unit commanders. He also supposed one of them could have been drunk.
The previous armed clash of Ukrainian units was fixed on September 20, near Donetsk region’s settlement of Avdeyevka.
