Russia’s convoy with humanitarian aid for Donbas crosses border with Ukraine

More than 100 trucks are carrying over 1,000 tons of humanitarian aid to Eastern Ukraine

MOSCOW, October 22. /TASS/. Russia’s convoy carrying humanitarian aid for Donbas citizens has undergone customs procedures and has crossed the state border with Ukraine, the Emergencies Ministry press service said on Thursday.

"All the necessary procedures for registering the cargos have been completed at the Matveyev Kurgan and Donetsk checkpoints in strict compliance with the international law," the ministry said.

The humanitarian convoy vehicles are currently traveling to Donetsk and Luhansk. More than 100 trucks are carrying to Donbas over 1,000 tons of humanitarian aid.

This is Russia’s 42th humanitarian convoy for Donbas since August last year. The Emergencies Ministry has delivered to the war-torn region more than 50,000 tons of humanitarian cargos.
