PARIS, October 7. /TASS/. The results of the latest meeting of the "Normandy Four" leaders offer hope for the progress in resolving the Ukrainian crisis, German Chancellor Angela Merkel told the autumn session of the European Parliament in Strasbourg on Wednesday.

"We are now working in the ‘Normandy format’ to defuse this conflict. We held talks in Paris last time, which make it possible for us to hope that, at least, the ceasefire regime will be observed," Merkel said.

She noted though that the Ukrainian crisis was "just one of the conflicts", which were yet to be resolved.
