UFA, October 7. /TASS/. Russia, Iran and other independent countries have put a period to the unipolar world history, Iranian Ambassador to Russia Mehdi Sanai said on Wednesday.

"The actions of such countries and approaches of independent countries have put a period to the unipolar world history," the ambassador said at the 7th Russian Congress of Philosophy in Ufa, the capital of the Bashkortostan republic in the Volga area. "I think that the number of supporters of a multipolar world and the creation of such a system that would correspond to international law principles will be growing among the international community members."

According to Sanai, the unipolar world order does not correspond to the present-day challenges and demands. "When the crisis reaches its peak, all will begin to realise that it is necessary to unite… I’d like to sound optimistic, saying that the dialogue will be established and international law will be in the focus," the diplomat said.
