Poroshenko says ‘real truce’ seen in Donbas now

No single firing was reported during the first week of October, the Ukrainian president notes

KIEV, October 7. /TASS/. Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko said on Wednesday the ongoing ceasefire in Donbas means that real truce has been established in the war-torn region.

"No single firing was reported during the first week of October. This is not already peace and not the end of the war. But this is not just ceasefire, this is real truce," the Ukrainian leader said at the military institute in Kiev.

Poroshenko reiterated that "the war will end when the last plot of land is liberated."
