CAIRO, October 5. /TASS/. Egypt maintains contacts with Russia regarding the country’s air strikes on the positions of militants of the Islamic State terrorist group in Syria, Egyptian Foreign Ministry spokesman Ahmed Abu Zeid said.
Russia’s Aerospace Forces started delivering pinpoint strikes at facilities of the Islamic State terrorist organization on September 30. The air group comprises over 50 aircraft and helicopters, including Su-24M, Su-25 and state-of-the-art Su-34 aircraft. Dozens of terrorist facilities have been attacked by Russian aircraft over the past few days.
