MINSK, October 4. /TASS/. Belarusian opposition activists stages an unauthorized rally in central Minsk on Sunday to protest against deploying a Russian military base in Belarus.
About 400-500 people gathered in Minsk’s Freedom Square for a one-hour rally. Police did nothing to disperse the rally. Policemen only drew up protocols of administrative offence against the rally organizers. The protocols would be referred top court, a police spokesman said.
Organizers of today’s rally were previously fined for organizing unauthorized pickets in September 2015, when they demanded transparent and fair presidential elections due on October 11.
