NTV reporters detained, deported from Moldova

"After an interrogation, the reporters were deported from the country under the formal reason they did not have some permission from the Moldovan ministry of press," the broadcaster reported

MOSCOW, October 3. /TASS/. Reporters of the Russian NTV television company were detained at Chisinau’s airport and later on deported from the country, the broadcaster reported on its website on Saturday.

"Correspondent Eugene Zuyev, cameraman Sergei Korenkov and sound engineer Vladislav Petrov arrived in Moldova at the editorial task of the Segodnya [Today] news programme, but at the airport the reporters were detained by the customs police," the website reads.

"After an interrogation, the reporters were deported from the country under the formal reason they did not have some permission from the Moldovan ministry of press," the broadcaster reported. "The NTV reporters have taken a flight to Moscow already.".
