MOSCOW, October 1. /TASS/. Several shellings by Ukrainian forces have been registered in Donetsk overnight, though the situation in settlements near the contact line remained calm, the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) local administrations said on Thursday.
"Everything is good, it’s calm, no incidents were registered," Donetsk’s Kirovsky district head Yury Budrin said. Heads of Kuybyshevsky and Kievsky districts also reported no violations of ceasefire overnight.
No shellings were registered in the towns of Dokuchaevsk, Makeyevka and Gorlovka, as well as in the Yasinovatsky, Telmanovsky and Novoazovsky districts. "Everything is calm and good, there were no shellings," Donetsk News Agency quoted Telmanovsky district head Sergey Ivanov as saying.
At the meeting of the Contact Group in Minsk on August 26, the participants confirmed their plans to ensure ceasefire in Donbas from September 1. OSCE’s (Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe) Special Representative in Ukraine Martin Sajdik said that it is necessary for ensuring security at schools along the contact line. Over the last days, only few violations of ceasefire regime were registered in Donbas.
