UNITED NATIONS, September 30. /TASS/. France is prepared to cooperate with Russia in the struggle against Syria, but on certain conditions, Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius, said at a ministerial level meeting of the UN Security Council on struggle against terrorism.

"Clearly, magic words will never banish the Islamic State," Fabius said. "We have heard about the Russian initiative, and we are prepared to act jointly with Russia and other countries, but on three conditions."

Fabius explained that number one condition was the struggle should be conducted exclusively against terrorists and not the opposition in Syria. Secondly, a wide political process is to end with the resignation of Syria’s President Bashar Assad. And the third condition, he said, is a ban on the use of barrel bombs and chlorine.
