Ukraine refutes reports on its readiness to receive refugees from Europe

KIEV, September 25. /TASS/. The Ukrainian State Migration Service has refuted media reports on its readiness to help Europe in resolving the migration crisis and to accommodate refugees in its territory, the department’s press service said on Friday.

According to the earlier reports, Ukraine was ready to help Europe to withstand the migration crisis receiving refugees from North Africa and Middle East states.

"The media reports on the topic are obvious provocations in order to destabilize migration situation in Ukraine," the statement said. "Ukraine joined the United Nation’s convention on refugees in 2002."

The press service said that there were no official announcements made by the Ukrainian Migration Service on receiving migrants in its territory.
