MINSK, September 25. /TASS/. Belarus is capable of putting a reliable barrier on the border with Ukraine to prevent banditry from spreading to its territory, President Alexander Luakshenko said on Friday.
He noted problems coming from Ukraine that the Belarusian authorities have to counter by strengthening border security. "And I am not even talking about drugs… They bring weapons, guns, ammunition, they come here. We are strengthening the border. We have closed it completely, and are now building construction so that even a mouse cannot get through. We will ensure the security of our country," Lukashenko stressed.
The president pledged to pay special attention to Belarusian citizens currently fighting in Ukraine.
