MOSCOW, September 23. /TASS/. The night in front-line towns and areas of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic was calm, no shelling by Ukrainian troops was fixed, local authorities told the Donetsk News Agency on Wednesday.
The Contact Group on resolving the crisis in Donbas agreed at the meeting in Minsk, Belarus, in late August to ensure complete ceasefire starting from September 1.
However, overnight to September 5 a local citizen was killed and two others were wounded during the Kiev forces’ shelling of Alexandrovka village in the Petrovsky district of Donetsk, this being the only rude violation of truce.
Single incidents of ceasefire violation have been fixed in the past few days, but on the whole the situation in the troubled self-proclaimed republic in Ukraine’s east is calm.
