MOSCOW, September 17. /TASS/. OSCE Parliamentary Assembly President Ilkka Kanerva has announced his plans to visit Ukraine’s capital Kiev and Donbas to get unbiased information on the situation in the region, Russian MP Nikolay Kovalev said on Thursday.
"OSCE PA President Ilkka Kanerva has informed of his plans to visit Kiev and Donbas," said State Duma deputy Kovalev, who is a member of Russia’s delegation at the OSCE PA.
Kanerva named no dates but said the goal of the visit would be "to obtain objective information from the both sides." "He has this intention, and we will see whether this will be put into action," Kovalev said.
On Wednesday, the representatives of Russia’s and Ukraine’s delegations at the Assembly met in Mongolia’s capital Ulan Bator, which hosts the OSCE PA autumn session. The sides agreed to contribute to the implementation of the Minsk agreements.
