MOSCOW, September 5. /TASS/. Any way to resolve the conflict in the southeast Ukrainian Donbass region, except the Minsk format will result in needless deaths, destruction, economic collapse, head of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) Alexander Zakharchenko said on Saturday - the anniversary of the signing of the Minsk protocol.
"There is no reasonable alternative the conflict’s political settlement within the framework of the Minsk negotiations. All other variants will inevitably lead to senseless death, destruction, economic collapse. The most reasonable thing today is to find the human and political will - and continue to impel Ukraine to fully comply with all clauses of the Minsk agreements," the DPR head in a statement, quoted by the Donetsk news agency.
He also said, "I would like these negotiations to be productive.".
