KIEV, August 27. /TASS/. EU High Representative for Foreign and Security Policy Federica Mogherini on Thursday expressed support for the constitutional reform in Ukraine, the press service of the Ukrainian President said.
As she met with President Pyotr Poroshenko at a working breakfast in Brussels she gave the assurances the EU was standing united in its support for Ukraine "at this difficult time".
The report said Mogherini and Poroshenko had discussed the conditions for continuation and exacerbation of the anti-Russian sanctions. Poroshenko once again accused the self-defence forces of the self-proclaimed unrecognized Donetsk and Lugansk republics of violating the Minsk accords that aim to resolve the armed civil conflict in southeastern Ukraine.
The press service said the two top-rank interlocutors also mentioned preparations for an informal conference of the EU foreign ministers committee, due in Luxembourg on September 4-5 where assistance to Ukraine would be high on the agenda.
