Russia’s import of foods from Egypt rose significantly in the first half of 2015

MOSCOW, August 26. /TASS/. Egypt is successfully using opportunities to supply foods to Russian markets that are opened after Russia introduced counter-sanctions against certain countries, Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Wednesday after talks with his Egyptian counterpart Abdel Fattah el-Sisi.

"Egyptian exporters are successfully using opportunities of our market that opened additionally after Russia introduced responding limiting measures in connection with sanctions of the European Union," the Russian leader said.

Russia’s import of foods from Egypt rose significantly in the first half of 2015, Putin said.
