BERLIN/MOSCOW, August 24. /TASS/. Against the backdrop of new tensions in Donbass, German Chancellor Angela Merkel will on Monday receive French President Francois Hollande and they will later be joined by Ukrainian President Pyotr Poroshenko, the German government reported.
The meeting is to be followed by a news conference.
According to German government spokeswoman Christiane Wirtz, this should be not be interpreted as a change of the Normandy format (Russia, France, Germany, Ukraine).
"The meeting will be held in a trilateral format, but it does not mean establishment of a new form of dialogue," Wirtz said.
