Ukraine’s emergency service: Kiev hotel goes up in flames

KIEV, August 23 /TASS/. A fire broke out on the 24th floor of Kiev’s Tourist Hotel in Kiev last night, Ukraine’s State Emergency Service source said on Sunday.

According to him, a room and a balcony were damaged on the 24th and 25th floors. The firefighters have extinguished the fire. About 100 people have been evacuated," Ukraine’s State Emergency Service said in its report.

One person, it said, has been taken to hospital with burns.
