MOSCOW, August 18. /TASS/. Donetsk resident has been injured in shelling by Ukrainian forces, head of local administration Ivan Prikhodko said on Tuesday.
"One man born in 1978 was injured on Stratonavtov Street," Donetsk News Agency quoted Prikhodko as saying. The administration head added that Ukrainian forces shelled the Kievsky district in Donetsk overnight to August 18.
No information is yet available on damages in the shellings.
Several houses have been partially destroyed in the city of Dokuchaevsk during the shelling of the territory of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) by the Ukrainian army, Dokuchaevsk Mayor Yevgeny Bunyo said on Tuesday.
"In the village of Yasnoye three houses have been destroyed, fortunately, there were no casualties," Donetsk News Agency quotes him as saying.
According to the mayor, the Ukrainian military was shelling the city overnight from the area of the village of Berezovoye. The type of weapons used is being ascertained. "Now the commandant’s office employees and members of the commission assessing the damage have left for the area," Bunyo added.
The Ukrainian army also shelled the village of Krasny Partizan in Yasinovataya district of the Donetsk republic. According to the district administration, the local gas pipeline has been damaged. "Utility providers have left for the scene for restoration work," the administration said.
