ANKARA, August 6 /TASS/. The death toll from the recent tourist bus accident in Turkey has risen to six, Turkish newspaper Haber Denizli reported on Thursday.
Alexander Leshukov, the acting spokesman for the Russian embassy in Ankara, told TASS earlier in the day that four Russians had died in the road accident in Denizli province in south-western Turkey.
"Twenty Russians were injured and needed medical help. A total of 27 people were hurt in the accident," Leshukov said. The diplomat added that a Russian embassy employee had left for the scene.
According to preliminary information provided by the Russian Federal Agency for Tourism, tourists from Russia, Kazakhstan and the Baltic states could be on the bus.
