"Europe recognizes Russia’s contribution to reaching the deal with Iran, which was mostly decisive," Chizhov said. "It is an objective assessment and it is perfect just as it is. Negotiators from EU countries at the talks have highly praised the contribution of Russian diplomacy."

"When the talks were just to begin, the positions of Tehran and the West were diametrically opposed and the agreement seemed to be illusory," he said. "But the West realised that there is no other way but to reach an agreement with Iran. However, there are still lots of hidden pitfalls."
