Poroshenko to visit Luhansk region, appoint new head of military-civil administration

Former Ukrainian Security Service’s head in the Luhansk region Yury Klimenko currently serves as acting head of Luhansk military-civil administration

KIEV, July 22. /TASS/. Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko will visit Luhansk region today, the official presidential website said on Wednesday.

On Sunday, Poroshenko said he will visit the region to appoint the new head of Luhansk military-civil administration (LMCA) "who will continue the work of Gennady Moskal." After an armed conflict between Ukrainian forces and Right Sector radicals in Mukachevo on July 11, Moskal was appointed head of the Zakarpattya region.

The Ukrainian president said earlier that he considers three candidates for the post of Luhansk military-civil administration’s head, but did not provide any details.
