Militia say one civilian killed in Luhansk shelling

The ceasefire regime was reportedly violated twice over 24 hours

MOSCOW, July 21. /TASS/. The Ukrainian forces have violated ceasefire regime twice over the last 24 hours, one person was killed in shellings, the self-proclaimed Luhansk People’s Republic (LPR) people’s militia said on Tuesday.

"The Ukrainian forces do not observe the ceasefire regime, they violated it twice over the last 24 hours," Lugansk Inform Center quoted LPR people’s militia as saying.

The Kiev forces first opened fire on the Khryaschevka settlement from 82mm caliber mortar around 10pm on Monday. On Tuesday, at around 2am, they fired at the Khristovo settlement from small arms, killing one person.

On July 18, the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Luhansk republics (DPR and LPR) announced the start of withdrawing tanks and armored vehicles of less than 100mm caliber from the contact line to at least 3 kilometers. DPR weaponry remains only to the north of Donetsk and in Deblatsevo - the tensest parts of the contact line. LPR is withdrawing weaponry everywhere along the contact line, excluding the area near the Schastye settlement.

Withdrawing weaponry of less than 100mm caliber has been discussed in Minsk for a long time, but the sides failed to reach an agreement. DPR and LPR decided to start the withdrawal unilaterally in the interests of establishing peace.
