Local election in Ukraine to be held on October 25

KIEV, July 17. /TASS/. The Verkhovna Rada has said Friday local election in Ukraine will be held on 25 October 2015. The decision was supported earlier today by 237 deputies, with the required minimum of 226.

Election will not be held in areas not controlled by Kiev as it will be "impossible to secure observation of OSCE [Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe] standards," the document said.

The Ukrainian parliament earlier adopted several amendments to the law on local election.
