MOSCOW, July 14. /TASS/. The Ukrainian government forces have been shelling the outskirts of Gorlovka for more than an hour and a half using heavy weapons, a source in the city administration told the Donetsk news agency on Tuesday.
The source noted that Ukraine’s Armed Forces had been shelling the north-western part of the city from heavy weapons. "Powerful explosions are heard from the area of Nikitovsky district and Ozeryanovka," he said.
The Defense Ministry of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) has noted that Gorlovka often comes under fire from the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Ukraine’s aggression often results in civilian casualties and the destruction of infrastructure. According to the DPR children’s ombudsperson, during the standoff between the DPR militias and Ukraine’s Armed Forces "the greatest number of children’s deaths from the bursts of Ukrainian shells has been observed."
