Zarif, Kerry, Mogherini holding trilateral meeting in Vienna

Iranian diplomats say the trilateral meeting is vital as it will indicate a possibility of reaching a final agreement on Iran’s nuclear programme

VIENNA, July 14. /TASS/. U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry, European Union’s foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini and Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif are holding a trilateral meeting in the Austrian capital city Vienna.

Half an hour before, Kerry and Mogherini met with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.

Iranian diplomats say the trilateral meeting is vital as it will indicate a possibility of reaching a final agreement on Iran’s nuclear programme between Iran and the P5+1 group of international mediators (the five permanent members of the United Nations Security Coucnil and Germany).

Iran and six world powers have very closely approached a deal, a German delegation representative told TASS. "We are very close, it’s true," he said. "It’s not long to wait, patience and endurance - they have united us during the current round".

Decisive meeting of Iran and six world powers may take place in coming jour, European diplomat said.
