UFA, July 9. /TASS/. The BRICS countries should work together to counter any attempts and actions to revise history, Chinese President Xi Jinping said on Thursday.
"The BRICS countries should, together with all peace-loving countries and peoples, oppose any attempts and actions to distort and rewrite the history of World War Two," he said, noting that the BRICS member-countries "would jointly defend the results [of World War Two]."
"At the same time, it’s necessary to draw lessons from history, to abandon the Cold War ideology," Xi Jinping said pointing to the need to "jointly safeguard peace and stability around the world.".
