No DPR militiamen in Shirokino - OSCE SMM deputy chief monitor

On July 1 the DPR announced unilateral demilitarisation in the village of Shirokino

MOSCOW, July 4. /TASS/. There are no militiamen of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) left in the village of Shirokino, Deputy Chief Monitor of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission (SMM) in Ukraine Alexander Hug told reporters on Saturday.

The mission did not see the presence of DPR self-defence forces as the fortifications, checkpoints and private houses, earlier occupied by the DPR forces, had been abandoned, Hug said.

About 80% of the houses are destroyed and cannot be restored while the village has been covered with unexploded shells, he said.

On July 1 the DPR announced unilateral demilitarisation in the village of Shirokino.
