PRAGUE, June 19 /TASS/. Russia has considerable influence on the Ukraine settlement. It is impossible to settle the Ukraine crisis without Russia, Slovak Foreign Minister Miroslav Lajcak told an international Global Security conference (GLOBSEC) in Bratislava on Friday.

I spoke about Ukraine at the last year’s conference. I also spoke about a new sort of instability that has emerged at our backyard. Regrettably, we can see that destabilization continues. We do not have the impression that it is ending. This problem cannot be solved without Russia, the Slovak foreign minister said.

A lack of political and economic instability has a negative impact on Ukrainian government’s reforms. "There are many people in and outside Ukraine who would like to see this reform plan thwarted," Lajcak said.
