VIENNA, June 16. /TASS/. Confidence in Europe undermined by the Ukrainian crisis should be restored, Austrian Foreign Minister Sebastian Kurz said at a visiting session of the Munich security conference on Tuesday.

European security is suffering from the Ukrainian crisis and the bloc-based thinking has again returned to the continent, the Austrian foreign minister said.

Confidence should be restored and the entire set of instruments of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) should be used for this purpose, the foreign minister said.

It is important to settle the Ukrainian crisis by political means, he said. "We need a united Ukraine, which develops economic ties both with the EU and Russia," the Austrian foreign minister said.

Security on the European continent can’t be ensured without Russia, the Austrian foreign minister said.
