MOSCOW, June 14. /TASS/. An elderly woman was killed during the shelling of the town of Pervomaysk carried out by Kiev troops, the emergencies minister of the self-proclaimed Lugansk People’s Republic said on Sunday.
"Two private houses have been destroyed and a gas pipeline in the center of the town has been damaged. An elderly woman died and another woman was injured," Sergey Ivanushkin was quoted by the LuganskInformCentre as saying.
The shelling has stopped at the moment, he said, adding that according to preliminary information, it was carried out with the use of mortars.
Experts have carried out some pipeline repair works and plan to continue the effort on Sunday afternoon.
