One of "third Maidan" protest organizers detained in Kiev’s Independence Square

Around 100 demonstrators earlier went on hunger strike at Independence Square, demanding presidential and governmental reports about the introduced reforms

KIEV, June 8. /TASS/. Rustam Tashbaev, the organizer of the so-called Third Maidan, has been detained at Kiev’s Independence Square on Monday.

"Tashbaev was detained after 70 unidentified persons in masks tore down their [demonstrators’] tents and Maidan [Independence Square] was surrounded by policemen. At the moment, his whereabouts are unknown," 112 Ukraina TV channel reported.

Around 100 demonstrators earlier went on hunger strike at Independence Square, demanding presidential and governmental reports about the introduced reforms. The protesters set up several tents near Independence Monument and announced "the beginning of the new Maidan - the third one.".
