MOSCOW, June 6. /TASS/. The militia of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) registered 34 cases of shelling on the part of the Ukrainian Armed Forces over the past 24 hours, the DPR Defense Ministry reported Saturday.
"Over the past day, the Ukrainian Armed Forces [VSU] shelled the DPR territory 34 times," the Donetsk News Agency quoted a ministry source as saying. "The enemy keeps using artillery."
The ministry said there were three cases of artillery fire and two cases of fire delivered from infantry combat vehicles on DPR inhabited localities. There also were 26 cases of mortar shelling.
The DPR Defense Ministry said the cities of Donetsk and Gorlovka came under fire. Besides, the localities of Novaya Maryevka, Grigorovka, Nikolayevka, Lozovoye, Shirokino, Zhobunki and Novaya Laspa found themselves under intense fire.
Data on civilian and militia casualties are being specified.
