MINSK, June 2. /TASS/. Representatives of the Contact Group on the Ukraine crisis have held constructive talks and reached a compromise, a senior official from the OSCE security watchdog said on Wednesday.
Swiss diplomat Heidi Tagliavini, the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe's envoy to the Trilateral Contact Group that includes senior representatives from Ukraine and Russia, said that the negotiations in the Belarusian capital were "constructive" and participants "achieved consensus on many issues".
The issues of security were high on the agenda, Tagliavini said. Particular attention was paid to withdrawal of heavy weapons under 100mm calibre, she said, adding that it was impossible to resolve all problems in one meeting but the work went well.
