MOSCOW, June 2. /TASS/. The people’s militia of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) has monitored 37 shell-fires of its territory by the Ukrainian army over the past 24 hours, the DPR Defense Ministry said on Tuesday.
"We have fixed 37 violations. Over the past 24 hours, the Ukrainian armed forces fired at the villages of Sakhanka, Grigorovka, Shirokino, Spartak and Zhobunki. The cities of Gorlovka and Donetsk came under fire as well, including the local airport area," the Donetsk news agency quotes the Defence Ministry spokesman as saying.
According to the available data, the DPR territory was shelled 17 times with mortar launchers, tanks, armored vehicles, anti-aircraft guns and small arms.
Information on casualties among militia fighters and civilians is being specified.
