MOSCOW, May 28. /TASS/. Russia’s Emergencies Ministry’s trucks with humanitarian aid for Donbas have arrived at the border with Ukraine in the Russian southern Rostov region, the ministry’s National Crisis Management Centre told TASS.
"Customs clearance is underway at the border checkpoints of Donetsk and Matveyev Kurgan," the spokesperson said adding that on the way the convoy had split into two parts - the first heading to Luhansk and the other - to Donetsk.
The white-painted trucks are carrying 1,000 of humanitarian aid - foodstuffs (pasta, vegetarian oil and various cereals), building products for restoration works and medicines for health facilities.
Russia’s Emergency Ministry has been dispatching the 28th truck convoy with humanitarian aid to Donbas since last August, supplying the war-damaged regions with over 35,000 tons of relief aid in total.
