MOSCOW, May 27. /TASS/. The leaders of BRICS could take the association comprising Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa to a new level, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov said Wednesday on the Rossiya-24 TV channel.

"The summit in Ufa [the capital of the Republic of Bashkortostan in Russia’s Volga Federal District] is the top of Russia’s BRICS presidency," Ryabkov said.

"We set the task to approach the summit having a set of decisions, new documents, first of all in the economic sphere, having an ambitious plan of action for the upcoming period, which will mean diversification of BRICS activity and boosting the ability of the association to influence world processes: the global economy and politics," he said.

"We are convinced that this work will be carried out effectively, with a good result. Now, a month prior to the summit, we already have a good base for leaders to raise BRICS to a new stage, to a new height," the diplomat said.
