Poroshenko to meet with Poland’s new president on Wednesday — Ukrainian media

KIEV, May 26. /TASS/. Ukrainian President Pyotr Poroshenko is expected to meet in Warsaw on Wednesday with Poland’s new President Andrzej Duda, the Ukrainian news agency UNIAN reported on Tuesday, saying the subject matter of the future talks was unknown.

"Yes, the meeting will take place," said a member of Poland’s biggest opposition Law and Justice party that nominated Duda for presidency, speaking on condition of anonymity.

Another source said Poroshenko was planning to watch the UEFA Europa League final with participation of Ukraine’s FC Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk.

There has been no official confirmation of the visit.

Andrzej Duda, a candidate from Law and Justice party won last Sunday’s presidential election runoff in Poland with 51.55% of the vote in his favor. A total of 8.630 million eligible voters supported him for presidency.
