Ukraine’s Radical Party leader says electing Poroshenko president was mistake

KIEV, May 25. /TASS/. Leader of Ukraine’s Radical Party Oleh Lyashko said on Monday it was a mistake to elect Petro Poroshenko Ukrainian president.

"Exactly a year ago, Petro Poroshenko became president. Obviously, it was a mistake of the Ukrainian people. A mistake that cost us too much," he wrote on his Facebook account.

He noted he respected the president as that had been the choice of the nation but called the elections a mistake "Ukrainians are now paying for."

On May 25, 2014, Poroshenko won early presidential elections in the first round having scored 54.70% of the vote.
