TOKYO, May 25. /TASS/. A magnitude 5.6 earthquake hit Japan’s capital Tokyo on Monday, the Japan Meteorological Agency said.
The Japanese authorities initially issued a tsunami warning, but later revoked it.
The epicenter of the quake was in Saitama Prefecture, to the north of Tokyo, and the focus was at the depth of 50 kilometers.
As a result of the quake, Tokyo metro and some high-speed rail services were suspended.
