China’s State Councilor to visit Moscow for security consultations on May 25 — FM

BEIJING, May 22 /TASS/. Yang Jiechi, a member of the State Council of China, will visit Russia on May 25-26 to attend a conference of representatives of BRICS states [Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa] on security and take part in Russian-Chinese consultations on strategic security, Hong Lei, a spokesperson for the Chinese Foreign Ministry, told a regular briefing on Thursday.

"Yang Jiechi, a member of the State Council of China, will visit Moscow on May 25-26 at the invitation of Russian Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev. He will attend the fifth high-level conference of representatives on the BRICS states on security and will take part in the 11th round of Russian-Chinese consultations on strategic security," Hong Lei said without revealing the details of Yang Jiechi’s visit to Russia.
