ASTANA, May 21. /TASS/. The talks of Syria’s opposition are due to be held in Kazakhstan’s capital Astana next week, the country’s Foreign Minister Erlan Idrisov said at the Astana Economic Forum on Thursday.
"The negotiations of the Syrian opposition are expected to be held in Astana next week," the Kazakh foreign minister said in a statement posted on the ministry’s Twitter account.
The Syrian opposition representatives earlier sent an official request to Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbayev for mediation at further talks on resolving the Syrian crisis.
