MOSCOW, May 18. /TASS/. Russian State Secretary and Deputy Foreign Minister Grigory Karasin and US Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Victoria Nuland have agreed to continue Russia-US contacts on Ukrainian settlement problems, the Russian Foreign Ministry said on Monday after their meeting.
"The two diplomats discussed a wide range of issues linked with the Ukrainian crisis. In this context, they stressed the importance of a direct dialogue between the Kiev authorities and representatives of Donetsk and Luhansk, of strict observance by the parties to the conflict of the package of measures on the implementation of the Minsk agreement of February 12, 2015, which is a solid basis for a comprehensive settlement," the ministry said.
