MOSCOW, May 17. /TASS/. US Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Victoria Nuland has begun her visit to Russia with Russian dumplings with sour cream as US Ambassador to Moscow John Tefft treated her to his favourite Russian dish at a Moscow cafe on Sunday.

The US embassy posted on its Twitter account a photo featuring Nuland and Tefft having this traditional Russian dish.

Tefft has recently confessed his weakness for Russian dumplings in a question-and-answer session on Facebook.

Nuland’s official programme will start on Monday, May 18.
