MOSCOW, May 15. /TASS/. Fugitive Russian tycoon Sergey Polonsky, currently living in Cambodia, has been arrested in the Southeast Asian country, his lawyer, Slavik Brsoyan, said on Friday.

"I confirm that he was arrested today. So were all the lawyers with him," Brsoyan told Kommersant FM radio. Polonsky's former lawyer, Alexander Dobrovinsky, had earlier reported the businessman's arrest to TASS.

Consular officials of Russia's embassy in Cambodia said they had no information on his arrest. And a Russian justice source told TASS they had received no official confirmation of Polonsky's detention.

Polonsky is wanted in Russia for embezzlement and had been placed on Interpol's database at the request of Russia's Interior Ministry.
