Poroshenko, Ban Ki-moon discuss possible deployment of UN peacekeepers in Donbas

KIEV, May 11./TASS/. Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko and UN Secretary General Ban Kim-moon had a telephone conversation on Monday to discuss a possibility to deploy a UN peacekeeping mission in Ukraine’s troubled Donbas, the press service of the Ukrainian leader reported without elaborating.

According to President Poroshenko’s administration, the UN secretary general also "informed the Ukrainian president on the results of his visit to Moscow, where he discussed the launch of a UN office in support of implementation of the Minsk agreements."
