SEOUL, May 11. /TASS/. China calls on the international community to react with restraint to the launch of a ballistic missile North Korea made from a strategic submarine on Saturday, spokesman for the Chinese Foreign Ministry Hua Chunying told a briefing on Monday.

"We hope all the parties will apply effort to lower the tension, and to support jointly the peace and stability in the Korean Peninsula," the diplomat said.

The Korean Central News Agency reported that on May 9 Pyongyang launched a ballistic missile  from a strategic submarine thus violating many resolutions by UN that ban for the DPRK launches of the kind.
