MOSCOW, May 7. /TASS/. The authorities of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) will help relatives of the passengers killed in the crash of a Boeing plane over Ukraine last summer visit the crash site, DPR head Alexander Zakharchenko said on Thursday.
"We share the grief of the next-of-kin of the dead. We are always ready to welcome any of them to our land. They have a possibility to visit this site, we will offer any kind of assistance," he said in a video conference with local residents.
Malaysia Airlines jet carrying 298 people crashed in east Ukraine on July 17 on a flight from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur. Both sides in Ukraine’s conflict accused each other of shooting down the plane with a missile. There were no survivors. Most of the victims, 193, were Dutch nationals.
